We have found these pigs do well in ANY environment. The Alaskan Snow doesn't bother them. They grow a thicker coat and seek shelter in bad weather. Heat in Arizona or Nevada, not a problem. As a heritage breed they tend to acclimate to the situation. In the hotter areas they tend to shed the locks and like to shade themselves and often dip into water if available.
Grooming is not necessary they will self maintain. Although they do like a good brushing and belly rub.
